THE WISDOM OF THE BEATLES
Be inspired by the most iconic band of our generation.
Because
True synergy creates something so beautiful that it transcends what any individual could achieve alone.
July 13

Lennon-McCartney received the publishing credit, but this song was all John. "Because" showcases The Beatles' most ethereal three-part harmony. John, Paul, and George layered their parts three times, creating a nine voice harmony that feels like one, impossibly complex voice. The inspiration for the song came when John heard Yoko play Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata." He asked her to play the chord progression backwards, then built one of their most beautiful songs around it.
Only when individual voices surrender to the whole can true musical magic emerge. The Cirque du Soleil show "Love" features a stripped-down version that highlights just the vocals, offering a stunning testament to their harmonic brilliance.
Voices in perfect harmony require both individual excellence and collective humility. The magic of "Because" lies not in any single performance but in how three distinct personalities chose to merge their talents without losing their identities. Each harmony line is distinct yet inseparable.
Every great team, whether in business, sports, or music, faces this same challenge: how do we maintain our unique strengths while creating something greater together? "Because" proves that when talented people prioritize the collective vision over individual ego, the result is magic.
Today, I will look for opportunities to blend my voice with others, understanding that true harmony amplifies rather than diminishes individual contribution.
Where in your life could you shift from solo performance to collaborative harmony?
