Devil's Radio
Words have power - be careful what you transmit into the world
March 30

Rumor and gossip spread like demonic broadcasts in George's "Devil's Radio" from Cloud Nine. He compared harmful chatter to evil transmissions, having experienced years of tabloid intrusion into his personal life. George knew firsthand how damaging careless words could be, how they spread and mutate beyond control.
Unkind words multiply as they travel. The song doesn't preach but rocks, delivering its message about gossip's damage with energy. Sometimes calling out bad behavior works best with humor.
Meanness in casual conversation causes real harm. Whether we're spreading unverified information or participating in character assassination disguised as concern, we become transmitters of the devil's radio. George wanted people to consider what they broadcast into the world.
Our words ripple outward affecting people we'll never meet. Once gossip leaves your mouth, you can't control where it goes or how it changes. The song reminds us to think carefully before speaking, especially when discussing others.
Refusing to participate in harmful gossip is its own power. George challenged listeners to change the channel, to stop tuning into destructive frequencies. We can choose what we transmit.
Today, I will refuse to participate in one gossipy conversation, consciously choosing not to transmit harmful information.
What gossip have you been spreading that might be causing harm you haven't witnessed? How might being more careful about what you broadcast improve the world around you?

When John Lennon admitted "Help! I need somebody" in 1965, he shattered expectations for rock stars by choosing vulnerability over invincibility. That radical honesty revealed how The Beatles understood that acknowledging struggle doesn't diminish strength, it creates the foundation for sustainable success. Throughout March, we'll explore how their approach to mental wellness, emotional honesty, and inner refuge provides actionable frameworks for leaders navigating burnout, anxiety, and unprecedented pressure in every area of life.
