Love transcends time and death when we honor it

Remembering our loved ones strengthens our bonds. John recorded this song as a rough home demo in 1980, never getting the chance to finish it. Fifteen years later, Paul, George, and Ringo gathered to complete it for the Anthology project, adding their parts to John's voice and piano. The result is haunting and beautiful, a conversation across time between old friends.
Emotions flooded the studio as they worked. They could hear John's voice - imperfect and vulnerable - on the demo, and had to decide how to honor what he'd started. Every musical choice became both creative and sacred. They treated John's demo with tenderness, careful to preserve his intention while adding their own voices.
Absence doesn't have to be the end of a relationship when love remains. When Yoko gave the demo to John’s former bandmates, they took it as an opportunity to honor a friendship that death couldn't destroy. Their care in handling this gift to them speaks volumes about the depth of their connection.
Love creates bridges across impossible distances. Whether it's memory keeping someone present, or shared values carrying forward someone's legacy, we can still collaborate with those we've lost. Their influence doesn't end; it transforms into something different but no less real. The people we love stay with us.
Today, I will honor someone I've lost by living out a value they taught me, continuing our connection through action.
